What is CTET Exam?

CTET stands for Central Teacher Eligibility Test which is conducted by the CBSE.

What is the eligibility for a CTET?

Eligibility of a candidate is judged for CTET based on 2 criteria which is - education and age. You need to fulfill the following SSC eligibility standards to apply for the CTET exam.

Age Limit for CTET Exam

Minimum Age - 18 years

The Age Relaxation for CTET Exam will be applicable as per Govt. rules.

CTET Educational Qualification

For Class 1 to 5 (Primary Level)
Candidates should possess Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks with 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education OR Senior Secondary with at least 45% marks with 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education as per NCTE 2002 Norms OR Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks with 4 year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) OR Graduation with two year Diploma in Elementary Education.

For Class 6 to 8 (Junior Level)
Candidates should possess Graduation with at least 50% marks with 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) OR Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks with 4 year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) OR Graduation with at least 50% marks with 1 year B.Ed. (Special Education).

What is the CTET Selection Procedure & Exam Pattern 2020?

The selection process for the CTET is based on Online Written Exam which takes in 2 parts i.e Paper I & Paper II. Paper I is conducted for Primary Teachers (Class I to V) whereas Paper II for the recruitment of Elementary Teachers (Class VI to VIII).

You can apply for CTET Exam through Online mode only. To apply for CTET Exam, follow the below mentioned steps:
