What is the eligibility for a SSC CHSL?

What is the SSC CHSL Selection Procedure & Exam Pattern 2020?

The selection process for the SSC CHSL exam consists of 3 stages, which are:


SSC CHSL Tier 2 (Descriptive Paper)

SSC CHSL Tier 3 (Typing Test/Skill Test)

A. SSC CHSL Tier 1

It is a computer based online test of 200 marks in 60 minutes. There is a negative marking of 0.50 Marks for each wrong answer.

B. SSC CHSL Tier 2 Exam Pattern

The Tier-2 will be a descriptive paper 100 Marks in ‘Pen and Paper Mode The duration of the paper would be for one hour (20 minutes extra will be provided for candidates with VH/OH afflicted by Cerebral Palsy, OH with a deformity in writing hand). The Paper would comprise writing of an Essay of 200 -250 words and Letter/Application writing of approximately 150-200 words.

- The performance in Tier-2 would be included in preparing merit list.

- The minimum qualifying marks in Tier-2 would be 33 percent.

- You have to write the paper either in Hindi or in English. The part paper written in Hindi and Part of English will be awarded     zero marks.

C. SSC CHSL Tier-3 Exam Pattern

The Tier-3 of SSC CHSL will be a Skill Test/Typing Test which would be of a qualifying nature. The duration of the Test will be 15 (Fifteen) minutes for DEO and 10 minutes for LDC/JSA. The final merit of the successful candidates would be determined on the basis of total score obtained by them in Tier-1 and Tier-2. ‚Äč
